THE FASHION FUND.

As a young person living in todays society, the youth not-for-profit foundation 'We Don't Care' stood out to me as a fantastic group that are working towards helping issues I've always been passionate about.

...Victorians Samuel Koh, David Goode and Matthew Sim, who are all under 24 years of age, saw that contrary to what the older generations think, Gen Y do actually care about social issues. The problem is that they don’t fully understand the issues and how they can make a difference.

As a result, in 2011 the trio started We Don’t Care Inc., a volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation which aims to make a difference in communities by helping young people like themselves get more involved in local social justice initiatives by using their time, advocacy and money...

You may be asking what this has to do with a fashion blog, but you'd be surprised that there's a lot fashionistas can do to involve themselves.

Housed at Federation Square on Saturday 24th September, the foundations first event 'The Fashion Fund' will include a fabulous pre-loved market full of donated designer pieces, along with an exhibition on homeless Victorians shown on the main screen @ Fed Square.

I'll be home just in time to attend, hope to see you all there!
