Of course, a big part of my trip was spent trawling the shops in places like London and Paris however I was surprised to see how little I had actually bought when it came to unpacking my suitcase.
Anyone who goes to Florence that doesn't sit cooped up in a hotel room the entire time is bound to come across the markets and shops selling leather, souvenirs and jewellery.
Luckily for me, I had to walk through the San Lorenzo market each day to reach the town center from my hostel.
There was all sorts of wonderful leather bags for sale, however this one caught my eye hanging on the end of a stall. I've a slight love for novelty bags, such as my Eiffel Tower one.
Whenever I take it out, it always manages to attracts comments and compliments so I can safely say this was one impulse purchase with a success story.
