Top 5: Last Minute Christmas Gift Guide

Nobody wants to be the person on Christmas Eve frantically running about trying to buy all their gifts before the shops close - but we've all been there at one point and sometimes there's just no other way.

Often a last minute gift can mean you put in very little thought but spend more money. Here's a couple of gift ideas that will have you sorted and smiling all the way to Christmas Day.

Russian Doll Measuring Cups

I imagine these measuring cups have been selling like hotcakes this year - and it's not surprising given how adorable they are!
But who cares if your neighbour and their 10 friends all have them under the tree...these deserve to be used in every kitchen.
I've also seen measuring spoons and salt & pepper shakers to match so you can get the whole set if you please.
Available from Myer, Typo and other retailers.

Moleskine City Notebooks

Know someone who is jetting off overseas for the holidays? You can not go past the Moleskine City Notebooks which are the perfect compact and elegant journal for a trip.
I bought one when I went to Paris and couldn't have been without it. They feature city & metro maps plus different categories to note down accommodation, places, restaurants and much more.
Available from Readings and other good bookstores.

Typo Recipe Folder

A recipe folder is a personal alternative to a cookbook as it gives you the opportunity to write down your favourite recipes or even your own creations for a loved one. We have a very old book at home filled with recipes different people have written down and they are such a lovely thing to look back on and still be using in 10-20 years time.
Available from Typo.

Borne Naked Liner

I am forever switching bags and heading out only to realise I've forgotten something in the switch. These bag liners solve all that hassle as it is as simple as just pulling out the liner from one handbag and popping it into another. Voilà!
Stockists available here.

Kikki.K Memory Book

These have to be one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give a person. They're not expensive but it's the words you put in them that make it priceless. Inside are starting points for different memories and characteristics about you and your loved one that you then expand on. If you're known to get writers block then this may not be high on your list of last minute gifts - it does take some time to fill it all out. There is a range of different books for friends, lovers, parents and more.
Available from Kikki K
