The spring racing carnival is a highlight on my calender as it's one of the few times each year that we get to dress up in our most ladylike gear and drink champagne in the morning (not that we ever really need an excuse - for the former or latter).
Over the coming week, I'll be sharing a few looks to help inspire your outfits for the Melbourne Cup Carnival. There's also plenty more going on outside Cup week - the BMW Caulfield Cup is on this weekend and if the weather forecast is anything to go by, it's set to be a beautiful day. Derby Day is the first event in the week and off from the track, race wear is traditionally black and white. Dapper gents (and ladies) can include a blue cornflower in their outfit - the official flower of Derby Day.
