LMFF Ready to Wear Trunk Show 2011 - Pt 2

The little sibling to my first post on the RTW show featured at Malvern Town Hall on 19.3.11 features designs from:
Lisa Barron
John Cavill
Lisa Taranto

I've known about Lisa Taranto for quite a while now and recently discovered her studio is at the end of my street - who would've guessed!
This latest collection was my favourite of the show, followed by Not My Daughters Jeans, with the infamous heavy Melbourne black toned down by lighter hues and some gorgeous subtle details in soft frills and draping, making it feel very wearable (ironically suitable for a RTW show).

I'm unlikely to wear much, if any, of what John Cavill bought to the table for LMFF this year.
However I can't deny I did love with the gorgeous rich colours and flow of the fabric in his designs.

  3. You took some great shots here! I love ALL the pleats and the bold colours. I would actually wear some of these, if given the chance.

Now regarding your new header (via VF): I think the real stiletto looks a bit funny, personally it would look better as a normal 'i' though I can see what you are trying to achieve. It just looks a bit strong for the rest of your header, like a sudden jolt of sharp stilleto.

    HTH!
PS. Love your blog, added you to my rss feed :D
