Seeing with a new perspective.

I was livid the first time my optometrist told me I needed glasses. How dare this so-called expert tell me that I needed to lose any self esteem my 15 year old self had and put ugly metal frames on my face?!!

I used to avoid wearing my glasses like they were contagious, I'd quickly put them on to look at the whiteboard and then take them straight off. Fast-forward to present day and I've taken a fresh perspective and realised glasses can be as big a style statement as a pair of shoes.

Although I'm now a contacts wearer 80% of the time, I take pleasure in hunting down that perfect pair of frames for those days when I just can't be bothered with contacts or when I feel like making a plain outfit a bit more fun.

These most recent frames come from Mr Marc Jacobs and I love them 11/10 - as with anything, I think if you have to do it then you may as well do it properly. Thanks to the hipster revolution, it's now easier than the 80's to get big, bold, statement frames.

Now, where to purchase? The excellent prices, FREE(!) shipping and friendly customer service means you can't go past visiondirect.com.au for all your eye buys.

My Marc by Marc Jacobs model is available here, but there are hundreds & thousands of different styles and shapes to suit everyone. And those of you with 20/20 vision need not despair because they also have a huge range of sunglasses on offer.

I've tried most big optical stores out there, both online and offline, but Vision Direct stand out about the rest because for every pair of glasses you buy, they will donate a pair of glasses to charity. You can find out more about the 'Buy one, Give one' project on their website.

This post is sponsored by Vision Direct. I consider each advertising request thoroughly before posting. I am a Vision Direct customer and have decided to write this post because I can honestly vouch for them. Everything you read on this post is written by me and true to heart.

    1. Thank you! I used to think I had 20/20 vision until I went and had my eyes checked and it turned out one eye was dramatically overcompensating for the other, so it's definitely worth booking an appointment :)

    1. Thank you :)

I've had terrible skin over the years actually! I can be very bad when it comes to remembering to take makeup off after a night out but in general my routine is using a facial cleanser every morning + night (sometimes one or the other if I'm being lazy...) and a scrub 2-3 times a week. My biggest trick is probably using Sheer Cover mineral makeup. It makes skin look 5x better than it is without even looking like you have makeup on.
